D.I.Y Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is a life saver for those of us that can’t find the time to wash our hair every other day. Dry shampoo is great, however it can run out very quickly and end up costing us a lot.

So here is a D.I.Y for creating your own dry shampoo.

This D.I.Y should take you about 5 minutes to do.

Baking Soda
Container or Jar – Something to store your dry shampoo in.
Unsweetened Cocoa  Powder
Finely Grounded Lavender Flour

Light Hair:

1/4 Cup of Cornstarch
1 Tbs of Baking Soda
1 Tsp of Finely Ground Lavender Flour (For The Smell)

Dark Hair:

1/4 Cup of Cornstarch
1 Tbs of Baking Soda
2 Tbs of Coco Powder
1 Tsp of Cinnamon or  Finely Grounded Lavender Flour (For The Smell)

How To Use:

Put a small amount of the dry shampoo on your hands (no more then 1 tsp).
Rub your hands together and pat it on your roots.
Tousle your hair and brush it out.

*Remember if you have dark hair make sure you add coco powder as you don’t want to walk around with white roots. Same goes for light hair you don’t want to have dark roots. *
